The Biography Project

For the Biography Project, each student chose a famous person from American history (from Colonial to Civil War times). Students learned about these historical characters by reading books, doing library research, and looking at web sites (Click here to see biography web sites} .

In class students took on the roles of their historical characters and described their childhoods, families, and achievements when they were interviewed by their classmates. Students also wrote reports detailing the lives of the famous people they studied.

During the Biography Breakfast in April, students dressed up and assumed the roles of their historical characters and were interviewed by the parents and teachers who attended.
