Sketching the Work

The children sometimes make permanent records of their work by drawing with black ink pens on white paper. It adds another dimension to their work and increases their understanding of it.
In this example S. has drawn a reversed representation of her work by starting on one side and then sequencing the drawing of her work by moving in the opposite direction.
Q. decided that he wanted to draw what he wanted his work to look like first. Then he chose the materials to match his drawing.
T. has taken the idea one step further and has written a description of his work. He has very competently exhibited his literacy skills.
