Grace Lee's Shilling Furniture
Factory and Showroom
Field Trip

In the middle of the winter we bundled up all of the children for a trip to visit a furniture factory owned by a family at our school. The trip provided inspiration for lively conversations, and led to a number of construction projects in the kindergarten classrooms. The children made wonderful drawings of the buildings, the machines and the furniture, and wrote about their experiences at the factory.
