Beautiful Stuff 2000-2001

The Kindergarten Art studio prominently displays the current work of the students. It is located in a well traveled hallway in the primary wing at the Tobin School. Children, families, and teachers often stop to enjoy the art work there. Recycled material, "Beautiful Stuff", is used to make collages, collections, and representational art. Children are encouraged to make drawings of their finished products, to give them a title, and to write a few words about their ideas. The Kindergarten team has found this project to be richly rewarding, and deeply satisfying because it enables us to see a new dimension in children's learning.
