The GreenMeadow second grade students met the Tobin second grade students at Cambridge's Maynard Ecology Center at Fresh Pond. The Tobin students showed their Kid Pix slideshow of Cambridge for their friends. Students and Teachers ate snacks outdoor on the patio where they saw our "Welcome" sign and then it was off down the path to walk around Black Nook's Pond. Along the way we saw cottonwood all over the path just like falling snow. A mama bird was nesting in a tree.
We compared our two ponds and then we brought our Maynard friends back to our school where Mr. Watson and Mrs. Jones welcomed pond pals. We had a great lunch and visit together.
