This individual letter will be used with your group to rewrite a group letter which will be emailed to the FDA.

* Begin with your position on the topic of teen tobacco use.

* Back up your opinion with various facts and information you learned as an expert in your field. For example, if you were the doctor, write about the health risks to youth if they start to use tobacco at a young age.

* Think of something you would like to see the government agency do to further protect people from harmful products like tobacco. Write this in your letter.

The group letter should take all the positions from your group and combine them into a forceful statement of your position.

* Start off by asking the FDA to take some kind of action (which you will decide what that is as a group.)

* Support your call for action with important facts from each expert group. This should be no more than 3 or 4 facts per group.

*This should be approximately 1 page long.

 

After your group letter has been edited it will then be ready to be e-mailed to the FDA
