Kathryn Lasky

Cambridge author Kathryn Lasky visited Ms. Kalowski's 6th grade at the Tobin School on April 16 to share her new book, The Capture. It is a fantasy about a kingdom of owls. Scholastic Books was there to film the visit for a promotional video that highlights well-known authors they feature at their book fairs. In addition to Ms. Lasky, Libby Tucker came from the Stoneham Zoo with a small screech owl named Dexter. The students each got an owl pellet to dissect. They asked wonderful questions about owls and the story by Ms. Lasky. Each student received a free autographed copy of the book.
