Haiti

This February four members of the Tobin Community traveled to Lagonav, Haiti to participate in a cultural and educational exchange. At the Matenwa Community Learning Center they were able to visit classrooms, contribute assistance in the new library, and work directly with the students and teachers, There were also trips to the local market, the water source, the "Courageous Women's " theatre group, and a coffee making presentation. Each visitor stayed with a local family and had a full time interpretor. It was a total emergence experience that enriched the lives of everyone involved.
