Tobin Elementary Behavior Expectations and Consequences

Tobin School Pledge: I pledge to be peaceful, kind and caring, to respect myself and others, to strive for excellence in all that I do and to be the best that I can be.

· When I respect others by using positive language towards others and use constructive criticism in class, I help the Tobin community feel safe to have rich discussions and help each other learn. When this happens I feel good and safe and others feel good and safe.

· When I speak up or act when I see something wrong I help the Tobin community stay strong, positive and safe. When this happens I feel good and safe and others feel good and safe.

Unacceptable Behaviors

Teasing: I name call or insult others. Exclusion: I start rumors, or tell others not to be friends with someone. Harassment: I name call using racial, ethnic or sexual insults.	I hurt others’ feelings and/or make them feel bad. I do things that would cause someone to be without friends.	I will notify my parent with the teacher present. Severe Hitting: I punch, kick or injure others.	I hurt someone and the person I hurt does not feel safe.	I will notify my parent with the teacher and administrator. Possibly, I may have an in-school suspension. Cambridge Public Schools Security officer or the Police may be called to talk to me and/or my parent(s).	I will notify my parent with the administrator.
