Staffing

The foundation of a strong educational program is a highly qualified team of leaders, teachers and staff. Early in the Innovation Agenda planning process, CPS, with the support of the School Committee, created a plan and criteria for assigning and hiring teachers for the upper campuses. The goal of this plan was to build an instructional culture capable of living up to our values of excellence and social justice. A plan was also developed to recruit and hire four new Heads of Upper School to lead our new upper school campuses.

Among these early decisions was the assurance that Upper School campuses will be staffed with highly qualified teachers and that professional status teachers in core content subjects (Math, Science, English/Social Studies/Humanities) will be reassigned to the affiliated Upper School campus in context with available vacancies and qualifications. After a thorough and competitive interview process, CPS hired the following leaders as Heads of School for our four upper school campuses.
