Kindergarteners Study Dinosaurs
Kindergarten students in Rooms 102 and 103 showcased their in-depth study of dinosaurs by hosting a Dinosaur Museum! They were the museum directors for their families. They had a broad range of knowledge about all aspects of dinosaurs, including where and when they lived, what they ate, and the many types of dinosaurs. Well done, Kindergarten Students!

City Sprouts Garden
The tulips are fading and the peas are blooming, which means that summer time (and delicious strawberries to snack on) is not far away. The solar season is upon us, and the plants are growing splendidly.
Here are a few highlights: Radishes and all kinds of greens are ready to be harvested. Sunflowers, squash, beans, and melons are all planted and ready for the summer. We will be receiving new warm weather crops (tomatoes, eggplants, peppers) this week and will need help to get these plants in the ground. The peas are working their way up their trellises and should be growing pods soon! Our potato patch is looking good and we should be planting sunflowers in the next week. Pumpkins are planted and should be sprouting soon!
Our students and teachers are hard at work in the garden: Ms. Lacey's class used cubes to measure the growth of our pea plants. Mr. Kuo's class planted hollyhock flowers to beautify our garden and are observing our plants going to seed. Ms. Yeh's class is exploring the compost bin, identifying insects in this habitat, and collecting compost for planting.
