CRLS Orienteering Team
Did you know that CRLS has an orienteering team that’s been running for two years? CRLS Orienteering has already made a big splash in the national scene, winning the 2018 Junior Nationals Varsity Championships, and competing regularly in local competitions. Members of the team travel to the woods every week to polish their skills and play games in the forest. Orienteering is a racing sport where participants compete to find a series of checkpoints in the fastest time. Even though it’s an active sport, orienteering rewards those who are patient and plan ahead to find clever ways to get in front of the pack. The team learns how to read maps and run through terrain so that they’re ready for whatever tricks and challenges the next event throws at them.

If you are interested in learning more about the CRLS Orienteering Team, there will be informational meetings (with PIZZA) after school at 2:45PM on Feb. 4th, 11th, and 25th in War Memorial room 114 at CRLS. Any questions can be emailed to Coach Ethan at [email protected].
