"I have a dream that war is not allowed in any place on the planet."

"I have a dream that people will be kind to everyone."

Bus

Drop Off Safety Reminders
This weather has been tough and parking even tougher! If you would like to drop off your child in front of the school, please remember, the safest place to do this is past the crosswalk and our crossing guard. You may NOT leave your vehicle, just let your child out of car on the sidewalk side of street. Please never stop in the crosswalk. Just while snowy, if a bus is not in sight, you can stop briefly in the bus lane to let you child out, but please don't stop in the bus lane if you see a bus coming down Cushing or behind you at all. Reminder, you may not park in front of school, it is only for letting kids out to enter building on their own. Thanks for your help!

Read Across America Day

READ ACROSS AMERICA
This is the 17th year of the National Educator Association's literacy initiative, Read Across America. It is celebrated on March 2nd, the birth date of Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss).

At the Haggerty School we will celebrate on Friday, March 6th. Students and staff are invited to dress as their favorite book character.

Individual classrooms will celebrate reading with special reading time and guest readers.

We'll also show our love of reading with school wide door decorations to highlight reading in our classrooms.

Box Tops

GOT BOX TOPS?
Thanks to all of you who cut off those Box Tops and send them in for us! Our next mailing of them goes out the first week of March, so please send in what you have collected before then. All the money goes to enrich our school community! Also thanks to Andrea, a parent, for sorting them to be redeemed!
