CRLS Senior Internship Program
Spring Semester (Feb - Mid-May 2017) | Monday - Friday | 12:30 - 2:30PM | (Except on alternating Fridays when students stay in school for the Good Work Internship Seminar)
Do you know of someone that is interested in supervising a CRLS Intern? The aim of the program is to build mutually beneficial partnerships with area organizations. Students will be available to work with your organization for two hours per day throughout a semester in exchange for opportunities to apply and strengthen their understanding and knowledge; to contribute to projects in authentic ways; and to explore career fields of interest. I am particularly committed to finding placements where students can explore issues of ethics and justice in the professions. I would love the opportunity to speak with you concerning possibilities for partnership. Students who have applied for the program have expressed interest in the following areas. Might you be able to help out?

  • Architecture
  • Art Conservation
  • Art Therapy
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Programming
  • Early Education Teacher
  • Hotel Management
  • Law/justice
  • Media and Communications
  • Nursing
  • Pastry Chef
  • Sports Management/Business Management
Please email me at if you would like to talk about this more. Thank you.

FOCA Winter Serv-a-thon
and Fund Raiser

After a successful conversion of the fall FOCA Walk-a-thon to Serv-a-thon, FOCA is coordinating a similar CRLS Winter Sports Teams Serv-a-thon beginning the weekend of December 3-4. By sponsoring an athlete, donors help teams and FOCA raise additional funds required to meet important supplemental needs falling outside of the current school department budget. Meanwhile the athletes provide valuable services to our community, build relationships within their team, and earn community service hours required for graduation. Some projects include coaching elementary school age youth during their respective after school and weekend programs, visiting elderly, and clean-up/maintenance of Danehy Park, Fresh Pond and Alewife Reservation. To donate one can respond to individual athletes as they seek support, hit the 'Donate' button on the FOCA website (note Serv-a-thon and team in the note section), or contact Larry Childs [email protected] for further information.

Get Involved with FOCA

There are many opportunities for parent engagement at CRLS and the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) supports many aspects of this process for the athletics program. Participation is simple and there are many volunteer opportunities. Areas range from FOCA events to serving as parent liaison to teams. To learn more about our work and to get involved visit our website, send an email, or just come to one of our meetings held the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Athletics office 6 - 7:30PM.
