Cushing Street is a one-way street that begins off Huron Avenue near Fresh
Pond on the Belmont/Cambridge border.
Parking: Parking on Cushing, Locust, and Vineyard streets is unrestricted
(be mindful of the posted street cleaning schedule and "permit parking"
signs on all surrounding streets). There is a small lot directly across from
the school site designated for teachers and people with disabilities.
From Boston:
Take Storrow or Memorial Drive following signs towards Watertown/Belmont.
At the lights just past the back of Mt. Auburn Hospital and the BB&N school,
take the left fork following the signs for Route 16 South to Watertown. Turn
right onto Aberdeen Avenue, which is the first right turn at the light across
from the Mt. Auburn Cemetery (if you come to Star Market on the right then
you have passed Aberdeen Avenue). Then take a left turn on to Huron Avenue
(this is at a "T" intersection). Take a left turn on to Cushing
Street (you will see a playground and Fresh Pond on your right). The school
is about 2 blocks down Cushing on the right.
From 95/128/Route 2
Take Route 2 East heading into Cambridge. As you approach the Alewife Station
on Route 2, bear right following signs for Boston/Watertown and Routes 2/16/3.
You will pass the Alewife T Station on your right, cross a large bridge, and
pass the Fresh Pond Mall on your left (Toys R Us, Staples, and Bread and Circus
stores). You continue to follow the signs for 2/16/3 through 2 rotaries with
Fresh Pond on your right. At the next light (Route 16), turn right on Huron
Avenue. Pass through two lights and turn left on to Cushing Street which is
clearly marked. The school is about 2 blocks down on your right.
