School Buses: The closure of Cambridge Street due to yesterday's fire will continue tomorrow and possibly through the end of this week. Families of bus riders should expect continued delays as buses follow detours around the site.

Support to Families: Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this tragic event. CPS has been in communication with city officials about the fire response throughout the past 36 hours, and a small number of students have been identified who were affected by the fire. Schools are reaching out directly to ensure they are connected with available resources, with assistance from the CPS Title 1 Program.
Title 1 oversees a number of programs including the district's support programs for homeless students and families, providing school supplies, clothing, backpacks and other necessities to any family who loses their housing for any reason. Title 1 also coordinates van/minibus service for families displaced to other communities due to homelessness. If you or someone you know has been made homeless by a disaster or any other cause, reach out to the Title 1 Program and stay connected to school and to the CPS community.
