When to Register

  • Pre-Kindergarten (ages 3-5): Applications accepted throughout the month of October to enter Fletcher Maynard Scholar College, Special Start or Tobin Montessori School during the following school year. Learn More >>

  • All Grades – Current School Year: Students seeking to enroll in Grades JK – 12 for the current school year may register at any time. Learn More >>

  • Junior Kindergarten & Kindergarten: Register in January for school entry the following September to be included in the annual Junior Kindergarten / Kindergarten Lottery. Registrations will be accepted on an ongoing basis after January, but fewer choices will be available. Learn More >>

  • Grades 1 – 8: Those wishing to start school the following September may register starting in January, to receive a school assignments in late July.
  • High School: New students who wish to enroll for the following September may register starting in October. Learn More >>

Transfers & Waitlists

IMPORTANT NOTICE – Amigos Grade 1 Waitlist
We are posting this note to update parents on the Amigos School grade 1 waitlist. Due to an enrollment issue, the kindergarten age cohort at the Amigos School that will compose the fall of 2018 first grade exceeds the total number of first grade seats (50) at the school. Additionally the District’s contract with the Cambridge Teachers Association states that class sizes cannot exceed 25 students per class. In order to resolve these issues a temporary, third grade 1 classroom has been added solely for the purpose of providing space for the oversized fall of 2018 first grade. Because space limitations at the building will not allow for a third second grade in September of 2019, no additional grade 1 student can or will be added to grade 1 until the grade enrollment drops to 49. At that time the existing waitlist and all rules of the Controlled Choice Policy will be followed.
