Web Services is responsible for designing and producing CPS's printed communications. Whether you’re creating a poster or newsletter, a business card or a brochure, we will work with you from the inception of a project to create a publication that not only best reaches your target audience but also reflects the visual identity of Cambridge Public Schools.
Before You Begin
For new design projects, it is recommended to brainstorm and strategize the objective of this new item beforehand. Ask yourself, "Who is the target audience?" and "How will it be used?". Let's Get Started
The first step is to fill out the online Print Design Request Form. Once you have submitted a Print Design Request Form, please share a Google Doc with the relevant text (Share with Lisa Waters or Amy Spencer) and email any images to email@example.com or interoffice a CD to Lisa Waters at ICTS.
Your job will be scheduled in to meet your specified deadline. If there are any issues on meeting this deadline then Lisa Waters will contact you to discuss your options.
Review of Draft Design
The first proof of the design will be emailed to you as a pdf (unless otherwise stated) for your approval. If the design does not require any amendments, simply send an email reply to the proof to confirm your approval.
If you have any amends these need to be clearly communicated to the designers (via email or marked on a printed version of the pdf). A revised proof will be sent to you for your final approval.
If the item will be printed professionally, we can provide the printer with the printer-ready files, as well.
