While there may be variations in structure or style, all twelve elementary schools follow the same core curriculum and offer at a minimum the following opportunities:
In the past, the perception has been that some of Cambridge’s schools offer a more rich learning experience than others, and historically it has been true that some middle school programs were larger and more resource-rich than others.
Since the passage of the Innovation Agenda, Cambridge has committed to providing a rigorous, supportive, and enriching educational experience for all middle school students. As plans for our middle school programs continue to unfold, parents can be confident in the high quality of education that will be offered at all schools within our district.
Cambridge is committed to continually improving the quality of our public schools. We are particularly committed to narrowing and eliminating the achievement gap between groups of students in different racial/ethnic, economic, or disability categories. Our office of accountability and student achievement produces an annual report on school quality.
