The Cambridge Public Schools offers competitive salaries and benefits. Cambridge teachers have access to a wide range of benefits including health, dental, and life insurance; health and dependent care flexible accounts; tuition reimbursement; and to receive up to $450 reimbursement each year for incidental expenses for classroom and other instructional materials.
Teachers are required to have a Bachelor’s degree and to hold appropriate Massachusetts teacher licensure/certification. School administrators are required to have a Master’s degree and to hold appropriate Massachusetts administrative licensure certification.
Paraprofessionals and instructional aides in Title I schools are required to hold an Associates degree or 48 college credits or have obtained highly qualified status as defined under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) through earned professional training points or by having successfully passed the ParaPro or WorkKeys assessment.
Substitute teachers in the Cambridge Public Schools must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
If offered a position, the selected candidate must promptly produce official educational transcripts, proof of licensure/certification, and other related employment documentation as may be required.
