All Cambridge Public Schools are served by Science Instructional Coaches. They are responsible for supporting instruction, curriculum, and assessment of science across the district that is aligned to Massachusetts’ standards and CPSD goals and curriculum. They provide planning, in-classroom teacher coaching, co-teaching, and demonstration support for teachers and work to improve instruction, pedagogy, and content knowledge. Coaches collaborate with school-based teams (clusters, school improvement teams, grade level teacher teams, professional learning communities, etc…) as well as facilitate district-wide and school-based professional development.
