Monday & Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
We close at 3:00 p.m. prior to vacations/holidays.

The Teachers' Resource Center is a research, curriculum and technology center serving all teachers, staff and administrators in the Cambridge Public School District. Our mission is to enhance teaching and learning through the delivery of resources -- both physical and intellectual -- educators require to remain exemplary teachers and leaders in their fields.

TRC Media provides audio and video hardware and a variety of allied services, including:

  • TV/ DVD/ VCR cart lending  Reserve by the block in the TRC and return after use or deliver to next reservation.
  • Digital still and video cameras
  • Portable cassette / CD recorders & players (boomboxes)
  • Overhead projectors
  • LCD (data) projectors
  • A few laptops
  • even slide projectors and record players!!!


Services provided:

  • Training in the use of audio and video equipment.  This can be either a quick tutorial in the basics of equipment usage to bring you up to speed before using it in class or extended instruction during a free block.advising you in the use of your own equipment
  • Trouble-shooting equipment
  • On-site repair of minor equipment jams, tape tangles, CD/DVD freeze-ups
  • Taping of off-air, copyright-cleared TV programs (future capability)
  • Copying of classroom tapes to DVD or other tape, duplication of copyright-cleared programs (classroom activities, projects, etc.)
  • “Getting Started” instruction on all equipment.
  • Classroom visit to prep your class for video projects.

… and, of course, supplying

  • TV/DVD/VCRs
  • blank video tapes DVDs, and CDs (for a small charge)
  • posters enlarged from 8  x 11 originals (small charge)
  • computers
  • LCD data projectors
  • videotapes and DVDs.
