CitySprouts is a year-round garden program and nonprofit organization that partners with Cambridge teachers and other school staff to develop outdoor classrooms and gardens in school yards. CitySprouts also collaborates with local farmers, restaurant chefs and the CPSD food service program to bring urban school children the experience of growing, preparing and eating good, healthy food.

Teachers can take professional development programs through CitySprouts and students can take cooking classes they sponsor through the Community Schools. CitySprouts sponsors gardens at the the following schools: Haggerty, King Open, Morse, and Peabody.

Visit their web site for events, news and information: www.citysprouts.org.
