Please Park Responsibly

Please Park Responsibly
Posted on 02/24/2015
We're asking families to join our efforts to keep children safe during challenging winter weather conditions. Although parking options are frustratingly limited at that time, we ask you to please keep in mind the safety of all students when you park your vehicle.

We've received an increase in complaints for parking violations around our school buildings, including parking on plowed sidewalks, at bus stops, in front of hydrants and in crosswalks. Neighbors have also complained about cars blocking driveways or parked in driveways.

Please use consideration and care when driving your child to school. Although parking may be very limited around your child's school building, families needing to escort their children into the building should consider parking farther away, rather than putting the safety of pedestrians at risk or blocking access to fire hydrants or private property. All school buildings should have designated drop-off locations for students able to walk into the building themselves; if that location remains obstructed by snow, please speak with your building administrator (Principal, etc.) so that we can ask the city for further snow removal assistance.

Thank you for the part you play in keeping students safe.
