What is BrainPOP?
BrainPOP was conceived by Avraham Kadar, M.D as a creative way to explain difficult concepts to his young patients.” 1

“BrainPOP creates animated videos and accompanying curricular content for hundreds of topics within Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Technology, Arts & Music, and Health. Resources include videos, quizzes, games, mobile apps and  All content is aligned to, and searchable, by state standards including Common Core, topic, unit, keyword”.2

Why Use It?
“It’s flexible! In traditional, blended, and "flipped" learning settings, BrainPOP can support individual, team, and whole-class learning. At school and in informal learning environments, the characters help introduce new topics and illustrate complex concepts.”3

Get Connected with the BrainPOP Educators’ Community!
Beyond the videos and activities, an awesome resource for teachers is BrainPOP Educators, a free community for teachers and parents. Users must create a separate, personal account for My BrainPOP. My BrainPOP includes teacher access to the Mixer feature, which lets users tailor assessments to meet all students' needs. Teachers and students can keep a record of learning accomplishments through quizzes, game play, and activities.

The TRC subscribes to BrainPOP for several schools. Please contact Melanie Nash for login information.
