Special Start is now accepting applications for 3-year and 4-year olds.
The Special Start classrooms are inclusionary classrooms run by the Cambridge Public Schools and the Office of Special Education. Here children with disabilities, along with typical learners, have a wonderful opportunity to play and learn together. To be eligible, children must be 3.0 years old and no older than 4 years 5 months by August 30th, 2010. They must also be Cambridge residents.
ALL ELIGIBLE CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
This program is free of charge. Classrooms are located at the following locations: Tobin, Morse, Kennedy/Longfellow, Peabody Schools, the Upton Street Building and the Fletcher/ Maynard Academy.
An application must be completed in order for your child to be considered in this process.
Applications are available at the Special Start Classrooms, at each Elementary School with the Family Liaisons, and at the Family Resource Center at 15 Upton Street, Cambridge, MA 02139. You can view/download the application by clicking on the link in the right column.
