In Level 3, also an Honors Level course, students learn “Computer Aided Design” (CAD) and “Digital Electronics” (DE). CAD continues to expand students’ skills in computer modeling design and exposes students to fundamentals of computerized manufacturing technology. Students refine and expand their knowledge of prototyping, CNC equipment, CAM software, robotics, and flexible manufacturing. Students have the opportunity to invent a new product or make improvements to an existing one. The DE component is a course in applied logic that encompasses the application of electronic circuits and devices. Computer simulation software is used to design and test digital circuitry prior to the actual construction of circuits and devices. |
