  • Find time every few weeks to talk to your child about what he/she is learning at school and what his/her interests are, both in and out of school. Encourage your child to learn more about areas of interest through after-school activities, school clubs, or courses.
  • Get to know your child's guidance counselor and small learning community deans; attend school-sponsored activities. 
  • Talk to your child about your career path and about how you have navigated your career thus far.
  • Talk to your child's guidance counselor and the RSTA counselors about summer enrichment programs, tutoring programs, and volunteer work opportunities.
  • Read the CRLS daily publication the Did You Know (DYK) on line at www.cpsd.us/crls/DYK
  • Attend the CRLS Financial Aid Night for parents and learn more about the financial aid process.
