Borrowing policy: Staff may borrow materials for longer than two weeks, however, we ask you to remember that the resources are shared between two schools. If you borrow materials and lose them while they are checked out in your name, you are expected to replace materials or pay for them, as are the students. Paperback replacement is $8.00 and hardback replacement is $18.00.

Collection Policy: The Library Department has a collection policy which guides our purchasing. When you use the library, the librarians get to know the materials you need which in turn informs our curriculum related purchases. We are always open to suggestions!

We have a small collection of VHS tapes and DVDs which relate to curriculum. The Teacher’s Resource Center has many more. Check out their website and request what you can’t find here. We have audio books available as “Playaways,” CDs and tapes.

Professional Titles: Across from Circulation we have a number of professional titles which you may find helpful. If you discover a professional book which would benefit others, please let us know.

Your Literacy Collaborative bookrooms have multiple copies of books. However, we do have some multiple copies in the backroom, just ask to see them.

The librarians can show you some helpful online databases to use with your students. You can access these through the catalog page link.

We are looking forward to a productive year working with all of you. Please email or stop by with ideas which we may be able to support.
