KENNEDY-LONGFELLOW WORKS TOGETHER!

Kennedy-Longfellow students, families, and staff have sponsored and supported many programs that benefit our community.

Support for Area Shelters

The family shelters in Cambridge are looking for donations of diapers, sheets, crib sheets, towels.

Please call Diane & Sharon  for additional information and where to bring your donation at 617-349-6688.

  Pennies for Patients

Since 1993, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country through the Pennies for Patients® program. These funds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner!

Every year the students of the Longfellow School have donated their extra pennies to support Leukemia research.  Once again our students will be asking individuals to donate their spare change!

  The Smile Train

45 Minutes That Can Change A Life - Some call it a modern-day miracle. A 45-minute operation that can transform a suffering child into a normal, smiling, happy kid. Not just a new smile, but a new life. Few medical procedures deliver such dramatic and permanent benefits. That's why it's so tragic that most developing countries cannot devote more resources to this very solvable problem.

Javier Otero-Alvarez Scholarship Fund

Our principal's son, Javier Otero-Alvarez, passed away in January of 2003.  Margarita now runs a scholarship to honor his memory.   The scholarship benefits a Latino student enrolled at Wayland High School. Contributions may be made in Javier's memory to:
