Academic Programs include:

  • ESL assistance
  • Academic support
  • Self-Contained Special Needs classes: in two grade configurations: 5-6, and grades 7-8

The above programs operate within the Kennedy-Longfellow in conjunction with the Office of Special Education.

The Kennedy-Longfellow Pre-School is located within our building operating under the auspices of the Department of Human Services, which also operates the Kennedy-Longfellow Community School.

Standard Program: Kindergarten-grade eight aligned with District and State Curricula Frameworks 

Literacy Collaborative: Comprehensive literacy based program for Kindergarten through grade two (will expand to grades 3-5), in partnership with Lesley University and Title I 

Intensive Studies Program: A program for students in grades 6-8 drawn for across the city who are committed to working within an academically challenging environment
