Postural Screening

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Physical Education Teachers will be conducting postural screening in their Physical Education classes with support from the school nurse during the first two weeks of school. It is not a diagnostic service but a screening program to identify young people who should have further medical evaluation in regard to their posture. The majority of students exhibit no findings. Female students are asked to bring the top of a two-piece swimsuit or halter-top to school, on the day of the screening. Male students are asked to take off their shirts, this permits a more accurate observation of the back.

If you have any questions, please contact your child's physical education teacher.
