KLo Celebrates Dr. Seuss and Read Across America

Students and Staff at Kennedy Longfellow School celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America on Friday March 2 with a series of school-wide events.  Community members, parents and faculty participated in reading to students in grades K-5. City Councillor Tim Toomey, School Committee Member Fred Fanitini were among the readers who visited classrooms to read Dr. Seuss or their favorite stories to students.  Reading Specialist Meg Urqhuart bravely donned full costume and visited classrooms as the Cat in the Hat.  At the parent coffee hour, parents donated books to the school library and shared coffee and pastries with visiting readers.  Everyone had a great time!
