CitySprouts Garden Work Day

Our incredible volunteers worked through adverse conditions to clean the garden area, add soil to the gardens, build composters, plant flowers and seeds, and clean up the entire back area of the school. The pouring rain, cold temperatures, thunder and lightning did not dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of our volunteers.  A very special thank you to Alice Vogler, Linda Rabieh, Stewart Wiley and Susan Matkoski, Emily Ehrenfeld and Gary Valaskovic, Emily and John Sequiera, Chris and Kelley Colbourn and our Garden Coordinator Louise Forrest.

Alice, the Agassiz Afterschool Director, helped the children paint boards with beautiful artwork that will be hung on the fence.  They also painted plant label sticks.  Stewart went above and beyond constructing shelves in the shed.  Stop by to see how our garden is growing!  (May 8, 2010)
