5th Grade Students Meet Mike Lupica

Thanks to Ms. Rial, the 5th grade students got to meet and hear from author Mike Lupica on March 22 at Porter Square Books.  Mike Lupica is one of the most prominent sports writers in America.  A true New Englander, he spent his childhood in New Hampshire, he graduated from Boston College and currently lives in Connecticut.  More importantly, he is a Red Sox fan!  Mike is the author of several popular young adult novels including Travel Team, Heat, Miracle on 49th Street, Summer Ball, the Big Field, the Million-Dollar Throw, and his latest book, The Batboy.  He spoke to the students about his life as a writer.  He feels that the best part of writing is rewriting.  Thank you to Porter Square Books for a wonderful opportunity for our students.
