Highlights of the All-School Meeting (3/30/12)
On Friday, March 30, the Baldwin students finished the month with an incredible all-school assembly. The theme of the assembly was Unique, United and You! The assembly started with a video produced by our middle school student leadership team, "I Am Unique". The video featured many students representing over 20 languages saying, "I am unique". Languages included Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Persian, Armenian, Russian, Polish, Tigrinya, Sweedish, Amharic, Korean, Creole and Spanish. Our news crew, Christina and Ariana, gave a report about the Coins for Cures drive. To date, our community has raised over $1,500. We have topped last year's collection and we still have a few weeks like to try to double our donation from last year. Christina and Ariana reminded everyone about the upcoming Poetry Night and the Science Expo. To kick off Poetry Month, Bence and Dylan read their poems, "Letter to Future Self" and "A Tribute to Caylee and Trayvon", respectively. Our remarkable physical education teacher, Mr. Gladu had students from all grades showcase juggling and jump roping, a unit that they have been diligently working on. Our esteemed music teacher, Ms. Berkson, led our 3rd grade students in "Peace Begins with Me". Thank you to our middle school leadership team for organizing another great all-school meeting.
